what is enharmonic

The story of enharmonic is a story about a quest. It's my main quest, to practice balance and discover connection.

That's the definition of “enharmonic” — the musical balance point between individual differences (two notes that look different on paper) and harmonic resonance (they sound the same when played).

the creative act

For me, the act of creating music is always enough… it's not wanting or craving for more. There's something to be said about that flow state.

This is the cycle to my human experience: from beliefs to thoughts to words to practices — which then reform belief. There's a quality in that, a value. Many argue against meaning or significance, but I think that's the significance.

This is something I've found everywhere from competitive sport to accounting, from designing a web page to personal interviews.

The medium for this process is communication.

Difference refers to the quality of being distinct or dissimilar. It signifies a state of separation and variation.

Attraction refers to the feeling of being drawn towards someone or something. It's an instinctive response to differences — appearance, personality, practices.

Connection refers to the state of being linked or joined together. It implies a bond or a relationship between distinct entities.

Resonance refers to the quality of harmonious synchronization. It signifies a state of connection and alignment through mutual emotion & understanding.

just as variation >> harmony >> resonance

The beauty of dance music is in the unique cultural expression — every society has its own unique form of event, from ritual to party… it's the manifestation of human connection.

The beauty of electronic music is how easy it is to integrate distinct elements and subsequently change and modulate those elements. Modulation is the nature of synthesis.
