about

david kerns / enharmonic

enharmonic is the solo project of david kerns: a santa monica-based producer, dj and sound designer working where electronic music meets something older.

he started as a singer. with the pacific boychoir academy he is a two-time grammy winner, and choral music never left: chant and polyphony run through the project, from the hildegard antiphon that opens his sets to the bells of the lake.

the music lives in progressive house, melodic techno and ambient textures, shaped by sacred geometry and the idea that sound is a bridge between the physical and the unseen. live, it is dj sets threaded with hardware: synths and drum machines played over the records, in the moment.

he builds as much as he plays. there are interactive installations for burning man and festivals, instruments for the browser and for vcv rack, and the systems that run this site.
